Kathy J. Kelly, 77, of Eveleth, Minn., passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at Waterview Woods surrounded by family.

She was born on November 18, 1946 in Virginia, Minn., to Kenilworth and Florence (Marciniak) Garden and raised in Williams Addition-Virginia. Kathy graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1965 and attended the Virginia School of Practical Nursing, graduating in 1966.

She worked as an LPN and staff coordinator at St. Michaels/Waterview Pines for over 30 years. Kathy was known by coworkers, friends and family for being amusing, generous and remarkable. She enjoyed spending quality time with family, as well as baking and cooking.

She had a passion for gardening, knitting and crocheting. In 2020 she donated a number of hand crocheted lap robes to the residents back at Waterview Pines.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Kenilworth and Florence Garden; daughter Christine; one brother Ken and sister Carol Kolstad and two brothers-in-law, Steve Miladin and Jerry Kolstad.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Kelly and Scott (Amanda) Kelly; former husband and father of her children, Peter Kelly; grandchildren, Michael, Zach (Kristi) Lucy (Austin), Abby, Sabrina (Paxton), Tyler and Rylee; and Bradley, Molly and Leia; great-grandchildren, Paxton, Jr, Noelle and Ryder Goodsky; Penny, Skyler, and Loren Rothstein; sister Mary Miladin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her greatly.

Kathy made many memories, lifelong friends, and left a huge impact on all of our hearts. We will miss her dearly.
