In Memory

Tom Maslowski

Thomas Taylor Maslowski, known to his loved ones as Tommy, Tom, Mouse, or Ski, passed away in his home on November 16, 2023, at the age of 77 in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Although he was fighting a good fight with cancer, his death was unexpected. He was born on November 11, 1946, in Virginia, Minnesota to Adolph and Leona (Irwin) Maslowski. Tom was a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

Tom was an incredible and devoted dad to his daughter Kate, instilling in her the importance of humor and "not being stupid" in order to have a meaningful life. He was known for his magnetic personality, intelligence, and loyalty. Tom had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. He had a playful and fun-loving nature that endeared him to everyone he met.

Tom's educational journey began at Virginia High School where he graduated with the class of 1965. He continued his education at North Dakota State University School of Pharmacy and was a member of the Kappa Psi Fraternity.

In addition to his vibrant personality, Tom had many interests and talents. He had a deep love for music and was a talented artist. He was a nonconformist who marched to the beat of his own drum, often telling his daughter to "just ask the drummer for his drum and sticks," an anecdote she continues to use to this day. Tom was dedicated Vikings fan and season ticket holder, often threatening to leave a game or change the channel early when the Vikings were not performing well, but never actually doing so! He was also a girls basketball coach for Hopkins Girls Traveling basketball, a role he cherished and continued to talk about decades after hanging up his whistle and play book.

Tom will be remembered for his skill as a bird hunter and his passion for motorcycles, football, painting, drawing and his multiple home aquariums and fish. He found joy and fulfillment in these hobbies throughout his life.

Tom was a lifelong motorcyclist and was able to make a career in his true passion. Despite having the intention and plans to follow his father’s footsteps as a pharmacist, his love for two wheels was too strong to ignore. Tom was a true salesman, starting off working the retail side in Eveleth and Fargo, North Dakota. He eventually found himself working in the aftermarket accessories business working for various companies that included Drag Specialties, Midwest Motorcycles, Avon Tyres, and Saddleman. He loved travel to shows and rallies, especially if he could ride his bike, always meeting new friends. He felt fortunate to have spent his life working in the industry he was passionate about and making some incredible friends along the way.

Tom's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the true privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
