John C. Emmons, 61, of Lake 14, Britt, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 24, 1947, in Virginia to Art and Mae (Volden) Emmons and graduated from the Virginia High School in 1966. He attended Virginia Junior College. John was a U.S. Army veteran.

John worked for USX since 1975 and was employed as a chemical analyst. He married Victoria Udovich on March 13, 1976, at Lake 14. He later graduated from Mesabi Range Community College in Virginia.

He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Virginia, the Odd Fellows and served as a scout leader for Boy Scout Troop 129 of Britt.
